The Chartered Institute of Marketing’s home page contains a wealth of information, including regional events.
Reports on direct communications such as direct mail and email. Contains fact sheets, case studies and articles on best practice.

Business Portal for marketing. Includes further links, news and information on database marketing and market research.
Market research and statistics
Statistical agencies throughout the world
Lists of links to statistical agencies throughout the world. These can be searched geographically and alphabetically. Also, at the bottom of the list, there is a link to “other resources,” which provides links to organisations such as the ILO, IMF, OECD, and World Bank.
Market Research Society
The Market Research Society home page contains a great deal of information, including the Code of Conduct and Best Practice in Customer Research.
Eurostat
Provides free access to information from the Eurostat Yearbook, covering the economy and finance, population and social conditions, industry, trade and services, external trade, etc. Also has a fee-paying research service (which requires free registration with the site) and a useful page of links to other European statistical information.
National Statistics Office
Themes can be selected on the left-hand side, including commerce, energy and industry, the economy, education and training, and the labour market. The Economy section includes statistics on financial transactions, banking, national accounts and other information.
Bank of England
Click on “Statistics” at the top of the page to access a vast array of statistical information for the UK. Includes lending, growth rates and monetary and financial statistics. Also provides links to to other statistical websites, such as the Debt Management Office, Council of Mortgage Lenders and European Central Bank.
